Style and Refinement in the Lincoln Aviator

When customers in Pittsburgh think of the Lincoln brand, they think of refinement, style and luxury. It's no surprise, then, that the Lincoln Aviator is a three-row SUV that provides Bethel Park drivers with the ultimate in comfort. The Lincoln Aviator is also highly customizable. Customers may choose to add a variety of add-on packages, including an Appearance package that is available across trim levels. A Jet package is also available, which puts glossy black exterior accents where chrome once was.

Performance

The standard engine of the Lincoln Aviator is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 gas-powered engine. This is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain provides you with up to 400 horsepower for your Canonsburg driving.

The optional engine of the Lincoln Aviator is a plug-in hybrid, which is available on the Grand Touring trim. This PHEV utilizes the base engine combined with a 13.6-kWh battery and a 100-horsepower electric motor. This powertrain can provide a whopping 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. The PHEV offers up to 18 miles of electric-only driving range on the streets of Washington, PA, but the total driving range utilizing both the gas and the electric motor is up to 440 miles.

The Lincoln Aviator is quite capable of taking a camper or trailer along for your next vacation. You can expect a towing capacity between 5,000 and 6,500 pounds.

Design

The Lincoln Aviator may be configured so that it seats six or seven passengers. This will depend upon the type of second-row seating shoppers opt for: a bench seat or a set of captain's chairs. With captain's chairs, you can have a center console between them, or you can have easy passage into the third row.

There is 18 cubic feet of cargo room in the Lincoln Aviator with the third row in normal use, but you can get more by folding down the third- and second-row seating.

The Lincoln Aviator offers the Perfect Position seats as an optional feature. These seats offer 30-way positioning and a massaging feature.

Technology

All Lincoln Aviators come standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen with which to access the infotainment system. SiriusXM®, a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot and Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® access is standard in the Lincoln Aviator. In-dash navigation is also standard across all trims of the Lincoln Aviator.

The traditional buttons and simple infotainment screen are user-friendly. You'll see that learning to operate this technology is quite easy when you take it for a test drive. Navigation on the infotainment touchscreen is also intuitive.

Although it is part of an optional package, Lincoln offers Coraopolis drivers a neat tech feature that uses a camera on the windshield to scan the road for potholes or objects in the road and then warn the driver.

Certain trims of the Lincoln Aviator offer a Bluetooth® connectivity option that goes above and beyond typical remote functions. This allows the driver's smartphone to act as your Lincoln Aviator's key, allowing you to unlock and start the vehicle without needing to bring your keys with you!

The Revel audio system is a standard feature in the Lincoln Aviator, but upper trims will have the option of upgrading to a Revel Ultima audio system. This is system provides 3D audio, and it comes with 28 speakers. This includes speakers in the headliner of the Lincoln Aviator for a truly surround-sound experience!
